1990 he formed his first band; three years later, they produced their own his first record.
In 1995 the tides turned and electronic music found a way into his life. He started deejaying in 2001. However, spinning records didn’t keep him happy enough. he knew he wanted more, so it obvi...ous that he began producing music with an old Atari and a synthesizer.
With his move to Berlin, he also started his first live project, "Stromtherapie". shortly they had first vinyl & cd releases with local labels.The next big step was in 2009/10, his first release under his own name " Domink Vaillant" on Delayed-Rec/France, Straight Music, Texas.
Further releases with labels such as "k:lender recordings berlin" and "Das Ohr Digital" were all successful and lead to many Live and DJ performances. He played in several bands, including a Sonic Youth-like artpunk band in Hamburg for years (always with a different name), and was the first singer of "Niños con Bombas" (who threw him out due to excessive vocal weirdness but still remain friends). Jake started rapping in 1992 as his alter ego M.C. Eye, at a time when white rappers were still pariahs (with very few exceptions- ones like MC 900 Ft Jesus hmm, does anyone else see a spiritual likeness between these two?), first under the patronage of the tough gals of drum and bass, Die Patinnen, then with the Jonas Schoen Sextett and as the leader of the Jazz rap combo M.C. Eye & Blind Jazz. But it was in the Hamburg hiphop training camp Trainingslager that Jake learned to freestyle from his mentor/buddy/adopted son Mad Maxamom. The cross-styling also started soon thereafter, also with Max and with beatboxer Mark Boombastik in a band called No Berlin No, a trashpunkmetalrap band that made it a rule never to practice and still managed to entertain guests on stage like Peaches, Gonzales, and Maxwell from the Meteorites. Jeff Mills (Detroit, 18 giugno 1963) è un disc jockey e produttore discografico statunitense.

Negli anni ottanta, Mills fu un influente disc jockey sull'emittente radiofonica WJLB di Detroit, operando sotto lo pseudonimo The Wizard. I suoi dj set contenevano il meglio del programma notturno del famoso disc jockey Charles Johnson, noto come "The Electrifying Mojo". Le playlist di Mojo erano arricchite dal sapiente lavoro di Mills che realizzava scratch e beat juggling durante i mixaggi di Techno di Detroit, Miami Bass, Chicago House e New Wave.

Alla fine degli anni '80 Mills fondò con "Mad" Mike Banks il collettivo techno Underground Resistance. Prendendo spunto dai Public Enemy nell'Hip Hop, Mills e soci affrontarono l'industria discografica con retorica rivoluzionaria. Vestiti in uniformi da combattimento si definirono Uomini in missione pronti a dare alla techno più contenuto e significato.

Mills non lasciò mai gli UR ufficialmente, ma poco dopo iniziò a produrre i propri lavori solisti. Si trasferì a New York e dopo una breve esperienza a Berlino si stanziò a Chicago. Qui nel 1992 fondò con Robert Hood la sua più importante etichetta discografica, la Axis, puntando su un suono più minimale rispetto a quello in voga al tempo. Negli anni successivi nacquero le sottoetichette Purpose Maker, Tomorrow e 6277.

I suoi album ed EP sono perlopiù tracce separate delle sue composizioni, che Mills mixa nei suoi DJ set. È considerato una leggenda nel Turntablism, per la sua capacità di suonare più di settanta dischi in un'ora.

Nel 2001 si è dedicato alla techno epica con la sua versione della colonna sonora di Metropolis, che ha anche suonato live con il film originale.

Il 16 settembre 2004 ha partecipato ad un dj set di sette ore con Laurent Garnier al Fabric di Londra e due anni dopo il suo lavoro Blue Potential è stato registrato con la Orchestra filarmonica di Montpellier.
