Here's the first in a new series of mixes recorded live from the club. First one up is this set from our good friend Sid Ford (Andrew to his mum!) who dropped in to bless us with 50 minutes of fiery hard bop business recorded this past Sunday at the Jazz Meet Live. Not only does the man design our beautiful flyers (Check out his site http://www.madeinearnest.com), he's also an accomplished DJ on London's soul, funk and jazz circuit and certainly doesn't mess about when it comes to his strictly vinyl selections.

Here we've got a swinging selection of classic jazz sounds ranging from the opening strains of Eastern Rebellion's righteous and soaring "5/4 Thing" through to the laid back Middle Eastern charms of Cal Tjader's "The Fakir" with a whole heap of goodness in between.
