Viva la Electronica ULTRA pres Märch´n Man

Once upon a time, November of 2007 in a small town in the Harz mountains called Blankenburg.
Basses were booming at a small floor in the basement and Märch’n’Man was about to be judged by a jury. Boxes, boxes on the wall, who’s the best newcomer of them all in MLK hall??? Luckily, neither a wicked witch nor a wily wizard were present and thus Märch’n’Man was declared the best newcomer, gaining a spot in the tribehouse effect crew.

But, first things first. Influenced by the sounds of artists like Emanuel Top, Plastikman, Christian Springer or Martin Buttrich he bought his first own discs in 2003. After three years of only dancing at techno parties, the curiosity to arrange and play the music himself had won over. Since then not a single day passed without him spinning the turntables. At first at home by himself, then later at after hours with friends or at small private parties. But after the newcomer’s contest things really started happening. He played at events in the Harz mountains and some in Magdeburg. He was able to play the places he had only partied at before. On top of that, he tried to achieve different sounds and play more creative mixes by using alternative technology, that way making a name for himself outside of Saxony-Anhalt. But he stayed true to his music. His sets are still mostly influenced by the minimal sound, having said that, it’s not limited to that nowadays. It’s artist like for instance Philip Bader, Josh Wink, Carlo Lio and of course Spedro who continue to inspire and shape his music.
