Here's a multi-track house mix I've been toying with for the past few months. All beats are lifted from vinyl records. I arranged the mix and adjusted individual track volume envelopes using Cool Edit Pro.
Several of these discs came to me by way of Oliver Desmet, who offered up his vinyl collection to a Primal Records sale last year. Thanks Oliver! Some of the vocal samples come from the YouTube documentary “The Amen Break.” You must watch it. Several times.
I played this mix at a house party a few weeks ago and even the DOG started dancing. Definitely a good moment.
