Finally, we had the chance to meet some guys from Off Recordings in person and were very impressed: Nice people, good music ! One of Berlin's most promising house labels honoured the Berlin Mitte Institut with a musical and informational visit: Off Recordings. Founded by Andre Crom, it has managed to gain itself an undergroundy reputation for strict deep and funky house vibes, ranging from rather easy going warm-up-tunes too peaktimy heart -busting dancefloor conquerors. Trademarks: The 909 open hihat, oldschooly house influences and a strong background in sampling tracks off the recent 50 years from genres like, funk, jazz, hiphop and so on.
