I did this mix as a favor to my friend Matt (who had asked me for a mix with some of the stuff that I used to play when I had my residency @ the Velvet Hookah in Dallas) during an impromptu house party I did not mean to throw, but that just kinda occurred when I was house-sitting this past weekend.
Now my plan was to only invite a couple of girls over keep me company and listen to some records while I had access to my friend (well just call him -J-) -J-s house. I thought these women understood what the deal, but for some reason they could not keep it simple and instead decided to bring a whole entourage with them, so now rather than sharing something small and intimate - it began with -Who the hell are all these people.- Then of course, as these people were on the way over, they just had to call just 1 or 2 people because no one would notice or mind if a couple of more people tagged along. So without even meaning to or trying we were about 20-24 people deep in under 1/2 an hour, that was when I had to put my foot down. I told everyone to call anyone who WAS NOT there - right then and tell them to turn around cause it was not happening. Then I said DO NOT call anyone else and just turn their phones OFF. I told them if they could follow these couple of simple rules and not wreck the house then they could stay for a little while. That is when I started the recorder, began spinning and here is a lil chunk of what went down. Hope ya like it and as always Enjo!
PS - Everyone was cool and my friend -J- didnt have a clue anything had even happened when he got back the next night.
