London born and bred Chilo Eribenne plays sounds from her childhood hero's such as Ike Turner and James Brown, through to her dancefloor and party experiences where the same artists were greatly sampled particularly in hip hop. The party scene in London was well connected by its DJs to Chicago and New York and those revolutionary sounds inspired homegrown talent to make their own tunes. A one time member of S'Express, Chilo will be interviewing some of the London legends from time to time, joining the dots from back in the day to the present, making a family tree with its roots in soul, funk and blues.
