After spending several years at the mercy of other labels wishes and whims, Angel Alanis made a simple decision to break free and rise up to create A- Squared Muzik. With well over fifty 12” and remixes, the creation of A Squared Muzik in 2000 also saw Angel create his alter ego, A-Squared.
The primary artist on ASquared Muzik, Angel is certainly capable of carrying the weight of such responsibilities as A&R, producer and remixer while sustaining a hectic DJ schedule that takes him all over the world. Having roots in Chicago House and Techno, Angel has taken his sound to another level that is “ready-to-wear” and tears the world`s dance floors to shreds. Having solid support from the likes of Armand van Helden, Bad Boy Bill, Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, DJ Dan, Junior Sanchez and Roger S., there was no doubt from the start that a successful imprint was being started here.
An eclectic sound is the path for A-Squared Muzik and Angel assures us a wild ride. With only two releases on A Squared Muzik, there is a worldwide ensemble cast already assembled here; Trevor Rockcliffe (In-Tec), DJ Funk (Dance Mania), Colette (Moody), Peter Black (Strictly Rhythm) and, of course, Angel. Colette turned in a sultry vocal cameo on “Do You Like The Way You Feel When You Shake?” which continues to get licensed [check Darren Emerson`s newest Global Underground CD] and play from every corner of the globe [also a favorite on Pete Tong`s Essential Mix]. Rockcliffe, Funk and Black are on remix duty for the second release and it is set to pop as big as the first. Show less
