Two pillars of the Berlin techno/house scene team up once again: Saturday, June 26th will see the fourth Upon You label night at the legendary Berghain/Panorama Bar. The lineup of the night (and following day!) will focus on the Upon You family, but they’ve also invited André Galluzzi to join in on the fun. Mathias Mesteño visiting from Copenhagen will DJ, and if his brand new Upon You EP is any indicator, expect a heavy Chicago influence in his set. Also playing is Amsterdam’s ONNO, whose releases for Upon You attracted the attention of Tiefschwarz, who just released his newest material on their label Souvenir. Andre Galluzzi, who has been a Berghain/Panoramabar since the club’s beginning, also has reason to celebrate with his just-released EP on Ost-Gut Ton, and Berliner mainstay and Upon You co-founder Marcus Meinhardt will round out the lineup. And as the long overdue summer weather has finally arrived in Berlin, Berghain’s garden will be open, so you can catch some rays while soaking in the beats. The afternoon’s soundtrack will be provided courtesy of The Cheapers (AKA Ruede Hagelstein & Fraenzen Texas) and Bar25 resident Fabiano, followed by an Upon You All-star back-to-back session, so you have an excuse to stay until the very end! read less
