My love for hiphop & jungle/DnB paved a path that has taken me across the country, and given me the opportunity to perform/work with some of the world's best. For over a decade I've been pushing the boundaries of what urban music is, fusing genres, experimenting with sounds and building a solid network of peers & colleagues worldwide.
Originally hailing from Denver, I spent most of my younger years MCing at battles, open mics, raves, etc. & touring throughout the Southwest & West Coast. But A&Rs never came, the room for growth at the time, just wasn't there, something had to give...
...So 7 years ago, I packed everything up & relocated to NYC- leaving behind my fam, my crew & a four year residency at Denver's first and America's longest running 21+ jungle night, "Pressure Thursdays" [RIP] - and took on the East Coast with a vengeance.
Since then, I have been a featured DnB artist at the WMC '00/'01/'02, play club dates across the US & hold down weekly residencies at Konkrete Jungle (Mondays) and Direct Drive (Saturdays). Also a founding member of Urban Aboriginee Productions (Denver/LA), and one of the first artists to be released on Stamina Recordings (Miami/Las Vegas).
In 2003, together with Joe "Bazuka" Lobato, we founded Hevy Metal Entertainment a/k/a HM Fam (LA/Denver/NYC) and have been quietly taking the industry by storm, with credits that include major & independent motion pictures, documentary films, working with the Big 4 and their roster of artists as well as tons of independent labels and their artists.
When not in meetings, working on beats at the crib, playing live gigs or scouting new talent, you can catch me busy behind the boards as Producer/ Engineer working with some of the hottest artists in the biz, including Absuloot, Chris Black, Ice-T, M.O.P., Guru (from Gangstarr), artists from MBK Entertainment (Shawn Kane, Diamond, Alicia Keys Mgmt. Co.), and many other artists across all genres.
Speakin of Absuloot...Keep an eye out for Hevy Metal Entertainment's latest artist & project: Absuloot's "Get You Some" EP- featuring tracks from Hevy Metal, Needlz, Nottz, IshLab, D*Prosper, Alvero and others- this shit is pure fire.
