Walkman is a 24 years old DJ from Vilnius, Lithuania. He is probably best known for being one of the authors of www.sutemos.net e-zine (which is about electronic/idm culture and a net label). This project of two enthusiasts has won the second place in 2004 in top.lt web championship (category of culture and music). It has also become widely acclaimed abroad because of its quality, originality and releases of Sutemos virtual label which brought listeners such artists as Ulrich Schnauss, Manual, Ruxpin, Yagya, Rod Modell, Ozy, Lackluster and many more.
Walkman is into electronic music for more then eight years already and is obsessed with collecting rare musical records. He always believed that he is more of a musical gourmand than a DJ – he does that for his own pleasure. The quality of musical selection is very important to him. The favourite music of his includes such styles as idm/experimental, minimal, ambient, glitch and trip-hop. Walkman is considered being one of the most professional/influential representatives of minimal/dubby music in Lithuania. But he likes people focusing on his works, not on himself. Show less
