He went on to host a month-long slot on BBC 1Xtra, 'All Basses Covered' - a weekly three-hour mixshow journey from hip-hop to drum'n'bass via r'n'b, broekn beat and garage - as well as producing hiphop and drum'n'bass mixes also broadcast on 1Xtra. He still presents 'The Jump Off' every Saturday 4-6pm, with latest in all styles of hip-hop, from upfront to underground, and the legendary 'Furiousd Top 10' voted for by the listeners. The show has also previously guested artists such as Royce 5'9, Killa Kela and the X-Ecutioners.
The Furious first got noticed with his mixtape series, '21st Century Fury', which gained worldwide recognition and rave reviews in HHC, FatBoss, iDJ and Knowledge magazines. He has just completed the 'Itch FM Freestyle Compilation' and will soon be starting work on the next mixtape for Itch, whilst also producing exclusive mixes aired on 1Xtra, incorparating hip-hop, R'n'B and Drum'n'Bass.
The Furious has DJed across the UK, getting his first set at the legendary Blue Note. He gained residencies at nights such as Dekefex and K-Netik and played several times down at the legendary drum'n'bass night 'Movement'. He also competed in the DMCs earlier in 2002, getting to the London Finals.
The Furious is also currently working on the production side of things and has already produced soundtracks to documentaries as well as several remixes (watch out, soon come...)
The Furious has also written for Undercover music magazine, has produced music that has been featured on TV soundtracks and was president of LSE university's Underground Dance Music Society in 2003.
DJ influences include his previous DJ partner DJ Needles, Cachet, Jazzy Jeff, Funkmaster Flex, DJ Craze, Scratch Perverts, Bailey, Randall, Marky, Gilles Peterson, the late, great John Peel and all those around him. Show less
