S.O.S. aka Lady Smiles from Vienna is a DJane, Compiler, Sound Consultant and Radio show presenter (as certificated Music Business Manager). A natural path because of being a jazzy influenced music lover trough and trough, already since her youth.
Her affinity for delicious sounds beyond the mainstream raised up and results in a constant growing selection of own tunes. Finally she took her first steps as DJane in early 2006 and started to spoil the audience of many well known locations in Austria and beyond, although she never appeared as “turntable wizard”. Rather she built up a good name in the international scene, just because of spoiling the highbrow audience with sophisticated, exhilarating music selections, which people hardly find in common radio stations - a cheerful gentle DJane, who spreads finest sounds and uplifting vibes to make the listeners feel good –> simple bringing joy to her audience, which has always been her goal! So far, the leading highlights in Lady Smiles delightful DJ carrer was to play the after show party following the live concert of Nicola Conte Jazz Combo at the E.O.N Jazz Night / Bratislava in June 2011 and to play along with Club Des Belugas on New Years Eve 2011 in Tbilisi/Georgia.
After Lady Smiles was invited several times to produce some radio guest shows for the public listeners in Spain, Greece, Germany, Romania and USA, she started with running her first proper monthly music magazine on Radio Orange 94.0 FM / Vienna in spring 2009. But for lack of time she decided relucting to bring her monthly radio hour to the “grand finale” on year-end 2011.
Apart of plainly audible sound consulting on var. Wave Music CD projects during 2008+2009, at last the Viennese Bar music expert served her proper interpretation of a seductive cocktail made of finest grooves and rare tunes on her first Compilation named “Bar Bubbles” in autumn 2009, followed by her beat-fanatic recipe of the “Club Cookies” in Feb. 2010 (both rel. by Holophon).
Since March 2010 she's running her bi-weekly radio show "Lady Smiles swinging Nu-Jazz Xpress" - in program rotation on UK JAZZ RADIO (All episodes to re-listen 24/ 7 in her show archive at:
