Solarstone are Rich Mowatt and Andy Bury... The UK based production duo who record and produce under many aliases, including the Young Parisians.
Since their formation over a decade ago they have amassed a huge worldwide following and support from just about every DJ 'worth their salt' over the last 10 years.
Their musical style ranges from Quality Trance to melodic progressive house and 'after-hours soundtracks for the chilled out generation' - depending on what mood they're in at the time.
Solarstone achieved universal acclaim with a succession of Trance Anthems... From the blissful guitar melodies of “Seven Cities” and 'Solarcoaster' to the soaring riffs of “3rd Earth”... and most recently 'Jump The Next Train' under their Young Parisians tag.
Their back catalogue is a `who`s-who` of Club anthems and classic remixes for everyone from Oakenfold to Sarah McLachlan and their music has been a constant feature on nearly every major compilation series including Global Underground and Euphoria as well as the Superclub series` such as Gatecrasher, Cream, Godskitchen and Ministry Of Sound
As a duo renowned for delivering the goods the pair have also stamped their calling card on mixing two compilations albums, Lost Language`s “Exhibition” and Chilled Out Euphoria - which hit number 3 in the albums charts selling in excess of 80,000 copies!
More recently Solarstone have focused their attentions to developing their DeepBlue label which has so far received widespread acclaim for releases such as Z2's 'I Want You', “Speak in Sympathy” and the superb Young Parisians “U Write The Rules”
Some how among all this they also manage to find time to make regular DJ appearances playing at some of the biggest events and festivals across the globe. In addition to this they also host their own deepblue radio show - which currently broadcasts to around 80million listeners every month!
With more forthcoming quality releases on the way and the continued support of some of the biggest names in Dance, including Tiesto, Oakenfold, Armin and Paul Van Dyk Solarstone looks set to remain at the top of their game for a long time to come.
"It's a career littered with chance meetings, unbelievable highs and some crushing disappointments, but the collective of brilliant musicians and vocalists they have around them always ensures they deliver the goods. The scene has undergone some strange mutations over the past few years, but it always returns to where it began... Grooves, Melody and Emotion- without which there would be no dance music scene, and there would be no Solarstone. "
