Born and raised in the well-protected southern part of Germany, Stephan Kaussner, alias Sissi, is now moving to the large city, to Munich, in order to expand his musical horizons and seek out new inspiration. Having arrived in the pulsing nightlife of the city, he discovers electronic dance music in his first visit with Harry Klein and Rote Sonne, music that has a somewhat magical attraction for him.
Thus, it's not long before he ends up wandering two rows down from Hip Hop in the direction of Techno in his friend's record store and then he obtains his first "high-speed" copy. After his various "attempts
at first steps" in private events, in 2007, his debut with Harry Klein followed with the offer of a residency.
Since 2008, he has not only been a solid part of the Harry Klein family, but he has also been given the responsibility for the internal event "Ein Herz für... Newcomer", in which he shows every month that he not only has a hand for the so-called "black gold," but also for much promising up-and-coming talent.
His style varies between Techno and House. Heavy, grinding grooves that are accompanied with
warm tones and playful melodies demonstrate his energy-loaded, constantly building sets, and tend to have a hypnotic effect on the listener that hardly anyone can resist. In addition, you won' t invariably find new records in his record box. He's only too glad to help himself to such old label classics as Basic Channel, Planet E or Studio One, and combine them with modern tunes to produce an unmistakable mix of old and new. His unusual flair in such things as the ability to produce superb quality in the area of mixing have enabled him in his still young career to get numerous bookings in and around the country, such as for guest appearances with DJ greats like Monika Kruse, Speedy J, Ben Klock, Joris Voorn, Paco Osuna, Technasia and James Zabiela.
In 2010, together with the residents, he starts the Harry Klein Records label so that he has a platform
in which to work on his own releases. Show less
