Rulers of the Deep aka Vibe Residents met in 1998, when DJ Meri and P.Julm started their residency at one of the most talked about parties in Estonia – Vibe. The duo became known under the moniker Vibe Residents. The series provided DJ Meri and P.Julm opportunity to play alongside artists like Josh Wink, King Britt, Roger Sanchez and many more.
Their production skills were noticed after remixing Kings Of Tomorrow hit “Finally” in 2001. Since then, Simon Dunmore of Defected Records, Roger Sanchez of Stealth and Josh Wink of Ovum are keeping close eyes on the duo.
Remixing is defenetly one of the strongest sides of this duo. Under their belt, ROTD has remixes of chart topping Shakedown “At Night”, IL Padrinos feat. Jocelyn Brown “That`s How Good Your Love Is”, Mood2Swing “Can`t Get Away From You”, Arnold Jarvis “Be Right There”, Craig Jensen “Club Lonely” (Hed Kandi) and C&M Productions feat. Marcel “The Vision” (Neat Music), DJ Mag Hype Chart topping remix of SerJaye`s “Mahal Kita” and also SNS Project “Get Up”. These are only few to mention, check discography for the full list.
The first original production as Rulers of The Deep was signed to Ovum. The track named “Track One” was inspired by DJ Dozia`s guest spot at Vibe.
Next up was a collaboration with vocalist DragonFly. “Temptation”, produced under the name of Vibe Residents and released as the first release of Roger Sanchez new label Stealth in 2002. Show less
