There is Techno, there is Hip Hop and there‘s the music in between. And that‘s what DJ Rukey is really into. Nothing can change that. Not even the fact that one of this music‘s most significant characteristics is that you first have to find it.
Like a collector of rare, valuable furniture Rukey is constantly on the scout – wittingly or unwittingly. As an enthusiast of music he listens to sounds from different sources. By working for the music club Distillery located in Leipzig/ Germany he made contacts and friendships, which broadened his horizon. All these experiences were followed by researches for nights on the traces of the artists he had listened to and their music. Frequently those weren‘t quests on straight routes, but on sometimes branchy, sometimes hardly tracable paths, which lead him in most cases to real rarities, which you will find in Rukey‘s sets.
As a DJ he presents a collection, which reflects the quality as well as the free spirit, which drive Rukey already during his search of music. Since his name doesn‘t belong to the big ones of the industry he affords the luxury to play only the tracks, which make his own flash creep. On his shoulders doesn‘t press the need to fullfill expectations. That‘s why he can step relaxedly behind the decks, willingly also beyond prime time or in a chill out context. Those are the moments, when there‘s the special challenge that people really listen to what he plays. A nice challenge for the collector of rare tunes, who can live up to his reputation by not being guided by BPM or genres, but by Rukeys own demand for good productions. Show less

Don't know what to say ,,,,,,,,, soooo brilliant .. the mix .. your music collection didn't find it in anyone's set and they have 0000 listeners "same tracks that we all know "in a different mix,even that i didn't know any track from your set :( but it's perfect and the way you play it ..... hope to play like this someday really you're just great.........
