In 1993 he encountered electronic music. at the beginning "Romanus" was to be heard often with live-acts. "Subsistance Level" and "Lowfile" were the working titles of his first electronic live-projects, which were developed together with Max Kircher, Max Baur and Wernfried Lackner.
Beside he started to mix House-Electro and Trip-Hop tracks. But since 1999 more and more new Drum`n Bass sounds came up and joined Romanus`s vinylbag he also screwed on sounds, recorded samples and arranged new tracks in cooperation with other musicians out of vienna`s Drum`n Bass underground scene. Lately he concentrated on mixing.
Roton alias Romanus is, and always was, a friend of the nature and this was the reason, why he founded the comunity named "Audionom" in 2003 – support to Vienna`s open-air-event-culture. The "Audionom" community organizes events at nice outdoor places and created a unique open-air-event atmosphere and style. The places and locations where the events take place vary. A special pleasure are the sunsets and sunrises.
