Always moving forward he is continously calling attention to himself like scarcely anybody else. We are talking about DJ Phax, upcoming progressive scene rocker, who thinks everything's about music. The young Austrian guy is feeling his mission in not only to make the audience dance, in fact he wants them to immerge into his world of music. Always looking for new sounds in a mix of different electronic vibes, Philipp Alexander is building up a provocative and uplifting scenery.
But every story has a beginning: The guy next door began to hop on different clubs at the age of 16. After some time he started mixing those tracks from the clubs with a simple music player software at home. But when he first got to know a DJ personally, it was instantly clear that turning the tunes is his mission. Phax' first vinyl was "Lost In Music" from Sister Sledge which he bought from the internet. "The Wackside Mix was my absolute favourite track for a long time", he smilingly remembers back to his past, "This music was so different from everything I've known before". But Philipp didn't own turntables at this time. He always played his records on the living room stereo of his dad, later on equipment of friends until the money was saved for his own turntables...
From this time many, many hours of training followed together with the search for his own style. Thanks to his photographer Werner Friedl, Philipp got in contact with DJ Andi Mik - the starting shot for a great partnership with the name "wave107". It was the very first try of a Sunday afternoon clubbing in Vienna. "Wave" was something new and completely different for Vienna's party crowd and they both enjoyed it a lot. After this great cooperation his friend Klaus Hager had the idea of an exclusive progressive clubbing in a noble ambience. But it wasn't only the idea of the clubbing: Klaus also offered Phax "Elektronischer Haushalt" to be his residency. The story has begun... Show less
