Pawlo Tojeda (29) was born in Gdynia, Poland. At the age of six he and his family moved to Germany, to Ratingen and Düsseldorf, and later to the Netherlands.
In the late nineties, he felt more and more drawn to the wheels of steel and soon he started to master the skills he needed to be a DJ. His style then, was a mixture of funk, hip hop and electro. Artists like Depeche Mode, Mc Hammer and Snap could count on a lot of airtime when Pawlo was spinning his records. Still, this was just the beginning.
After he bought his first professional equipment, 2 Technics 1200’s and a Pioneer mixer, things started to go really fast. He soon booked his first gigs; first at private parties and later also in clubs. These experiences helped him define his own style, which is a mixture of Deep House, House and Groovy Beats.
In 2009 Pawlo decided that being a DJ alone wasn’t enough. He wanted to produce music as well. This resulted in 2010 in the creation of Absoulute together with DJ Niccolo Cupo. They signed at Gua Camole Music from Düsseldorf. The first releases followed soon and so did the first gigs at label parties. At the parties they performed with people like Ray Okrpara from Oslo Rec and many more..
When 2011 arrived Pawlo decided that it would be best to pursue a solo carreer. Blood, sweat and tears finally resulted in the upcoming release of the Pawlo Tojeda Solo EP, which will be released under the Spanish label Sempai Music. And before the year was over, the first remix requests came!
2012 is going to be a big year for Pawlo. The first remixes were already released and so was his own EP. Other releases are scheduled and there will also be a party series with Pawlo Tojeda. As if this isn’t enough, Pawlo is also planning a surprise for later this year.
