When Oliver, born and bred in Frankfurt, discovered his love for music and the turntables he was only 15 years old. Back then he started playing smaller gigs at house parties of his friends, and events of the underground movement which took place in natural settings or rear courtyards. In the beginning his focus was on Hip Hop and Wave. In the early nineties, however, he was infected by the ‘electronic virus’ and ever since has been spinning the records with growing enthusiasm. He has set his focus on minimal beats of a slightly harder pace. He has continuously been working on his style and at many after-hour parties he made the crowd go wild with enthusiasm.
Oliver, a.k.a. O-HI-O, has made a name for himself as resident DJ in the former Frankfurt based night club “X-ray” and after-hour club “Blaues Wasser” (German for blue water). These days, O-HI-O plays his vinyls at smaller clubs and after-hour events on a regular basis, and tends to choose night clubs and audience true to the motto “small but nice”. The “Anaconda” (Ludwigshafen), “Zimmermusik” (Karlsruhe) or the “Rotariclub” in Offenbach met exactly his criteria of the small club, where he succeeded in enthusing an exclusively selected smaller crowd. For more than the past 3 years he has been a resident DJ at the “Zeitwerk” (Ludwigshafen) where it would be unimaginable to do without him, because he is famous for creating his overwhelming vibes. Till this day his passion for electronic music and the will to invent himself time and again has been unwaning.

Oliver ist ein waschechter Frankfurter und hat bereits im Alter von 15 Jahren seine Liebe zur Musik und zum Plattenauflegen entdeckt. Es begann mit diversen Privatpartys bei Freunden, Underground Events in der Natur und Hinterhöfen. Seine Schwerpunkte waren am Anfang Hip Hop und Wave . Mit Beginn der Neunziger Jahre wurde er mit dem „elektronischen Virus“ infiziert und legt seit dieser Zeit in mit wachsender Begeisterung auf. Sein Schwerpunkt lag schon immer auf dem etwas härteren minimalistischen Stil, den er immer weiter entwickelte und brachte das Publikum so mancher Afterhour-Veranstaltung zur Raserei. Einen Namen machte sich Oliver alias O-HI-O als Resident-DJ in den ehemaligen Frankfurter Clubs „X-Ray“ und dem Afterhour Club „Blaues Wasser“. Bis heute legt O-HI-O aktiv in kleineren Clubs sowie Afterhour Events auf. „Klein aber fein“ war bisher sein Motto bzgl. Publikum und Clubs. Das Anaconda (Ludwigshafen), die Zimmermusik (Karlsruhe) oder der Rotariclub in Offenbach waren eben diese kleinen Clubs, wo er ein kleines ausgewähltes Publikum begeisterte. Seit nunmehr über 3 Jahren sorgt er als Resident DJ im „Zeitwerk“ /Ludwigshafen für eine überwältige Stimmung und ist in diesem Club zu einer nicht mehr wegzudenkenden Institution geworden. Seine Leidenschaft zur elektronischen Musik und der Wille sich immer wieder neu zu erfinden ist bis heute ungebrochen. Show less
