Now signed to Be Yourself Music, recetly released his track 'Monday Bar', thats been getting plays from the worlds top DJ's all over the globe. Nic produces with several other artists including Green Court and the Essential DJ Team. He also goes by the alias of Encee, and under this name released 'Sansibar/I dont know' last year on E-Cutz. Nic met fellow DJ and Producer Stefan Bossems (DJ Bossi) in 1997 both having several releases for the X-IT label based in cologne. In november 1998 the met again by chance in a studio and decided to produce a track together. This track would be the duo's first exploration nito hard trance and was titled 'The Drums'. Thus Cosmic Gate was born, and due to needing more time to remix tracks for artists such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1 and Blank & Jones the pair had to quit their residential DJ jobs at 2 of the largest clubs in germany. The Follow Up-singles 'Mental Athmosphere' and 'Somewhere over the rainbow/Fire Wire' were even more successfull than 'The Drums', as they reached Top Selling Positions in Germany and in the U.K. In Germany their first Album was a big success as it went top 30, which for a techno album is a big accomplishment. Many international gigs, remixes and releases have followed. In early summer 2002 their new single 'The Truth' and album 'No more Sleep' became club and chart smash's in Europe, as the single went straight to number 1 on the german dance charts in the first week of release (only 2 other titles ever did...), and entered the charts at pos. 31!!!! The latest single titled 'Double-A-Side' features female singer Jan Johnston. Already being played by influential big djs like Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold and DJ Tiesto. Show less
