So he decided to buy his own equipment at the age of 17. At that time he organized a lot of private underground parties in the south of Thuringia/Germany together with DJ D.A.K. and LJ Funky. Because of the straight progressive techno sound, these parties became very famous within a short time. During his first gig at the K2 Club in Kronach, he met DukeXS for the first time, who supported him to get his first residency at the Matrix in Coburg. So he also had the possibility to make his sound public at some great regional open air festivals. From 2000 to 2005 he had to make a break in dj-ing because of some job-related circumstances. However he made his first steps in producing during his sparetime. After some net-releases his first tracks were published at the end of 2008 on “Punkt vor Strich” and “Dead Riot Music”, some releases on the Miami based Label “Intermission Ltd.” and his own label “MFSound” will follow soon.
Beside this Matthias Springer works as A&R for the WebTV-Station “quintessenz / electrosound.tv” , which he has built up together with his friend and DJ-colleague Motus.
Matthias Springer´s style is hard to describe and very versatile, so he uses a lot of aliases for his productions which each covers one part of his musical spectrum. So releases as “MFS” or “SVVX – Monokult” represent raw edged and evolving techno beats, influenced by some kind of Detroit-Techno, thrilling your mind and making no compromises. So most of these tracks are even longer than 8 or 10 minutes, because it needs time to tell a story in only one track. “Matt McSpringi” is his name for the more minimal and clicking sounds, as “Matthias Springer” himself stands for groovy and fluffy music with a deep bass and high glaced chords. His last alias “Aksutique” mirrors his passion for slow sounds and downtempo. At the momement this project is only for producing oversized mixes for relaxing-times, influcend by a lot of ambient and psychedelic crusades through deep and dark gaps, finally finding yourself in an old and smoky jazzbar. Some releases are still in progress. But in the end there is one basic genre that brings all his alter-egos together and which will never lose importance to him, and that is Acid! It is permanently present in his productions as main element or only as acoustic gloss, but the little acid-frogs are yelling at you, you only have to find them. Show less
