Matt Modny was born on the south-coast of the Baltic Sea in Poland. Ever since he was a little boy he loved the trash- and pop-culture of the US whether it were the early wonderful WCW days – especially “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair & “The Total Package” Lex Luger – awesome action movies like “Cobra” & “Commando” or the terrific tv-series “Miami Vice” or “A-Team” – Matt devoured the stuff.
Besides his old and cherished loves of British Indie and Dance - At the turn of the millenium he hosted the one and only saturday hipster indie club in western Austria - Matt began mixing electro and trash in his sets and became the favourite pet and dj of the Austrian independent style magazine INDIE. In September 2006 he started Vienna's Electro 'n' Trash club MYYY BITCH CLUB, of which he is - together with Pinie Wang - the resident dj and host of for instance the release parties of Justice and Klaxons in Austria. He has also supported CSS, Shitdisco, Krazy Baldhead, Futurecop or Klaxons, and rocked in European cities like Hamburg, Bratislava and Prague.
In 2008 he co-started the 5-piece band THE NEW VITAMIN.
Matt Modnys dj style can be described as: Euphoric electro, 80-tees Synthie-shit mixed with trashy tunes. But there are also touches of Hardrock, Hiphop & Hair Metal in his sets. Hell. Yeah. Show less
