Back in the late 80ies, while on a trip to London, he became infected with some new kind of music. Acid House! Music he'd never heard before. Deeply impressed and back home in Austria, Mad started his career as a deejay. This was probably somewhen in 1989 (known then as Bax Lewel). By the mid to late 90ies Mad was spinning dance music in several clubs across Austria. First international bookings ensued by the end of the decade. Partying hard behind the turntables, years went by. In 2004, Mad started to host own events in his hometown Innsbruck, which finally established himself in the local scene. It's difficult to categorize him musically. He loves to switch between different styles, but basically house music is being favored by him.
