Born in Sydney, Australia, but moving to Japan in 2000, Luke quickly gained residency at the infamous "House Force" night in Kyoto and Osaka. In 2004 he
started a new night "quop" which focused on bringing big international djs into a
small club in Osaka for a special intimate experience the Osaka people had yet to
live.
For the last 6 years Luke has been pushing the most modern of minimal tech grooves in his own very unique style. His dj sets are known to build from quirky minimal house to epic acid mayhem with plenty of emotion and dynamics, not to mention heavy rocking bass lines. Luke has become the most in demand DJ in the tech-house scene of Osaka and also travels monthly for gigs in Tokyo.
Already making its way into the playlists of the big name DJs, Luke's first EP "Jerry, spring her!" on Trapez features two tracks with a unique interpretation of today's understanding of techno. The A side is a cool, rocking "stop and go" rhythm machine with the modern minimal feel. While the B side track "The Docks" is a huge acid monster with some static 303 action to drive the dance floor wild. Martin Landsky (Pokerflat) placed "Jerry, spring her!" at the top of his "records of the year" in 2006. Show less
