This tiny and beautiful woman from Czech republic has played all over the globe including events such as Love Parade in Berlin, May Day (Germany,Hungary, Poland) Machac Festival in Czech Republic, Nature One Germany and Poland , Privilege Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound club London, Sunrise Festival Poland, Creamfields Poland and Czech Republic, Sonne Mond Sterne Germany, Soundtropolis Germany and Poland, Hyperspace Hungary, Sziget Festival Hungary, Balaton Sound Hungary, Global Gathering Poland to name just the few. She placed herself into the hearts of her fans throughout the last decade and received much respect from male colleagues like Chris Liebing or even Carl Cox who still is one of her favourite turntablist in techno business. In 2005 Lucca was also involed with the Tiesto European tour.All of them estimate Lucca a lot and cherish her style and skills and give her the references a worldwide top-dj does need to have.
As well as touring the world, Lucca is an accomplished producer and runs her own label Acapulco. This move has been considered one of the most important actions for the techno scene among the Czech Republic which was still developing at this point of time. Releases of Acapulco became the synonym for progressing czech techno and were mentioned in many playlists and dj charts.Her tracks have become favourites with Paul Van Dyk and Carl Cox. Coxy even used her track on his Live DVD as an opening track
Lucca's approach towards the perfect sound has always been accompanied by authenticity and devotion. Firstly captured by the house sound by dj Sneak Lucca afterwards seduced herself to the techno vibes from Napoli. In this epoque Lucca started to be part in every line up of every essential event concerning this style and was given her own festival organised by her former agency Mersey. As a conclusion she performed at "Live @ Hradhouse 2005" a unique concert which was also released on dvd showing this wonderful location placed in the castle of Boskovice and Lucca as the headliner.
But she did not stop changing and in 2006 she relaunched her label, which is now called Sound Of Acapulco and released her biggest track so far „Bodydance“. The video of that track created by the same people who did few videoclips for Fatboy Slim was broadcasted on the rotation on MTV. Sound Of Acapulco is now well established and featured tracks and remixes from artists such as Umek, Davide Squillace, Marko Nastic, Pig & Dan, Robert Babicz, Reset Robot or Tommy De Clerque.
The relaunch of her label now called Sound Of Acapulco could not knock down her acceptance and did show her skills concerning musical visionary even in a brighter light.
Currently this bright light is being transmitted by her debut album "Reformation" which mirrors Lucca's personal trip through life. It is purely a big exhibition of her personal taste of music and a common production with the german producer Tobias Fiedler.
"Reformation" does not only reflect her current life concerning music. "Reformation does sound a little bit like revolution but it is not. Me for myself it sounds slightly too aggressive", Lucca claims in an interview. Moreover her album has been built around the experiences she faced the recent years while travelling and now is the djane's v-card. "Reformation" not just includes her former hit single "Body Dance" it is also packed with twelve new stunning tracks e.g. "Quantum" her personal favourites „Hundertwasser“, „Teleport“ und „Noise Town“ as she says.
Meanwhile Lucca is a resident guest in music magazines and an appreciated partner concerning endorsement deals. She recently has been the face of well known manufacturer American Audio and cover act of Raveline Germany's leading magazin for electronic music. She also did a highly acclaimed special mix for this particular issue which was downloaded many many times and shows her well timed presence and knowledge of music if needed. For this reason she has been elected for the forth time in the row "DJ Of The Year" in the Czech Dance Music Awards and in 2008 hosted her own radio show on Paul van Dyk's Vonyc Radio.
This woman is simply restless as you can exclusively catch her playing together with czech rock star legend – genius guitarist - Michal PavlÌček, adding guitar rifs to her tracks or with great czech singer Tereza Černochov· creating her own live vocals to Lucca‘s instrumental tracks. One of her career dream was fulfilled this year, as Carl Cox invited her to play with him in Space, Ibiza on 11th of August.

One of the most recent questions I heard in the last ten months was, .."how can you combine work with maternity?".. my answer is short, with love and passion. Of course my life got a totally new dimension, but if you plan things ahead and organise your time, everything is possible.
Relating to all things our world is going through, last couple of years were full of happiness and joy.. ;)
Lucie Kvasnicova, better known as LUCCA, strikes back after a year of pregnancy break. People think once you become a mother it is anything else but easy to come back on the scene, especially nowadays when the market is full of new talents and promising new names.. but people are sometimes also wrong.. ;)
It's for sure she missed her Dj gigs and all her fans across the globe, she was barely at home during weekends in the last ten years of her professional Dj career, so not playing around was a big change, but the truth is, that Lucca didn't miss a day around music and clubbing in the past year. She worked hard in the background, studying new software's, producing and listening lots of fresh music, searching for young talents and developing her digital label.

The question for one of the magazines was, How do you define your music and she said.. "funky, abstract, energetic. And as for the style.. in my sets I really enjoy mixing techno with tech house and progressive house. The important thing is that I love the track and to see people dancing, doesn't matter if it is techno or house.." Show less
