In spring 1995, at the time when the techno movement reached its peak, Tschügge J. Buchs – passionate collector of Jazz, Funk and Soul records – launched the 'Sundaygroove' at the Centre for sub-cultures 'KuBa' of the city of Baden/Switzerland. The weekly event soon moved into a bigger place ('Halle 36') and reached a cult status in the region.
Since 1998 Tschügge played regularly with Pipo & Spruzzi at the legendary 'Cool Monday Clubnights' at the Limmathaus Zurich. In 1999 Tschügge founded Loungechic Productions together with Mario Walser, Robbie Hacaturyan and Heinz Winter.
The dj-sessions with live musicians quickly attracted attention and in July 2000 Loungechic Productions played in the Jazz Café at the world famous Jazz Festival Montreux.
Gigs at the most important clubs of Switzerland, exclusive private events, open air festivals and various events around the country as well as abbroad followed.
His early passion for rare grooves perpetually mingled with his curiosity for deepercussiontechdubhouse-club-soundz. Boundaries of music where challenged and re-drawn. With Loungechic Productions he released a number of records with labels like Stereo Deluxe, Mono Records und Young Society Rec.
