John first got into dance music when he was about 11 with the Streetsounds Electro series being particular favourites. Since then he has spent a lot of time and money discovering and listening to new sounds.
In the year 2000 John decided he'd had enough of just listening and decided to splash out on some decks and he's never looked back. In his short 6 years (so far) as a DJ he has played many styles, starting off with dirty house records and then gradually working his way through various styles of music including Progressive house, Tech House, and varying styles of Breakbeats. Also in that 5 years he has had 2 residencies and been runner up in the now defunct Muzik magazines Bedroom Bedlam, won the iDJ Reader mix competition and been one of the www.protonradio.com featured artists.
Recently John has been going back to his early days, re-discovering the sounds of electro; if in a some what mutated form that is electro today. A mashup of Electro, Nu Skool Breaks, dubstep and techno plus any other filth that might be lying around at the time is what usually gets played nowadays.
John runs a label called Digital Distortions with his ded|badja DJ-ing partner Neil M to showcase talent; mostly new but with a touch of the old(ish) from around the globe. Show less
