Beginning his musical career DJing for Italian radio in the late 70`s, Joe progressed into production and remixing in the 1980s. His first recording was a cover version of `U Make Me Feel` by Sylvester. In 1986 and 1987 he went gold with the EMI-Italia released `Mix Time 1-2-3` and, in 1989, JTV set up his own recording studio, JT Company, which today comprises 5 labels, DBX, Dream Beat, MWC, 909 Records and Clubbin`.
JTV has remixed the likes of Bobby Brown, Mark Morrison, Banderas, Erasure, Rozalla, Black Box, Thelma Houston, Kathy Sledge, New Order, Right Said Fred, Giorgio Moroder, Dana Dawson, Space 2000, Matt Goss, DJ Spen and Cevin Fisher.
One of his many career highlights came in 1996 when he discovered the talents of Robert Miles, who enjoyed massive international success with the singles `Children`, `Fable` and `One and One`, all of which were released on DBX Records. These productions by Miles were awarded a total of 18 Gold and 2 Platinum records and all reached #1 in Europe.
In 1996, at the MIDEM music fair in Cannes, JTV was named `Producer of the Year` by The Association Of Italian Phonographers. As well as successful production and remixing, JTV DJs in some of the hottest clubs around the world including Firestone in Orlando, Hard Times in Leeds, Kremlin in Lisbon, Grev in Frankfurt, Cream in Liverpool, Energy in Zurich and the finest clubs in Italy including Prince, Tutti Frutti and After Dark. He tours regularly in the United States and Canada, playing in Miami, Los Angeles, Albuquerque, New York and Montreal. As part of the Promiseland Rave in 1997 - the first ever rave party to take place in Slovenia – JTV appeared in Panorama Magazine, Corriere Della Sera, La Repubblica, II Giornale and other local Italian magazines.
In 2000 JTV established his own club night – Supalovaclub – which took over Milan`s Tocqueville Club each Thursday night. It quickly became one of Italy`s biggest club nights and has since evolved into a touring club night which, once a month, snakes its way through several of Italy`s best clubs.
JTV is also the man behind the successful `Supalovaclub` compilation series, now up to volume 9. Every Saturday night JTV broadcasts his `Slave To The Rhythm` radio show on Italy`s biggest radio network, Radio Deejay.
His most recent productions have included `Playing With The Voice In Germany`, `I`m The Fire` on JTV`s Dreambeat imprint and `He Is Your Friend`, released under JTV`s Joe T. Vanelli Project guise. JTV has also recently completed remixes for Jasper Street Co`s `Got Me Going` and Pheel`s `White Wedding` and `Mary (Lady Whore)`.
JTV continues to lead from the front in Italy`s burgeoning electronic scene. He is a seminal figure in the development of electronica in Europe and, after nearly 30 years in the business, remains one of its most influential DJ-producers. Show less
