Joachim joined the local House-and Techno movement in 1993 and started DJing in 1995. At this time he was primarily interested in soulful Chicago House, Vocal House and little bit of Detroit influenced stuff and Hip Hop.
After his busiest years in playing House from 1995 to 1999 he began to collect other new styles of Jazz- and Soul influenced music and of course rare Jazz and Funk records.
His affection for soulful music guided him from Classic House to Jazz, Funk, Soul, Disco, Boogie, Fusion, Hip Hop, Afrolatin Music and also to other sophisticated new styles like Broken Beat and contemporary things in Jazz and Soul.
Since 1997 he is producing music with Daeque aka Martin Riedler. Their common current project is called "Oracle". A lot of emotive and complex brokenistic flavours are waiting to get completed.
"Oracle´s" first track “Interdimensional” will be released in May on the german label “in|phusion”. And they have gained some excellent feedback on their demo tracks from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Benji B, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Tom McCarthy (Phuture Lounge), Pablo Valentino (Faces Records), Max Cole (Wah Wah 45s), Grudgemonkey (Schtum Records), Beatnick (Other Worlds), and many more. Furthermore Benji B dropped 3 tracks from Oracle including an interview with Joachim on his "Deviation" show on BBC 1xtra.
In November 2005 he was participating at the amazing Red Bull Music Academy in Seattle.Show less
