Hunee encountered Traxx the first time a few years ago, at Cookies, where Traxx first cleared the club from all Handbags, Cheesiness and Fake Lips with his first records. What Traxx did afterwards made Hunee scream and take off his shirt, and his friends dancing on each others shoulders. A bondage of trust and appreciation was built. After some more wild dance parties, movies on the couch, chats on midnight, soups on the corner, a fierce radioshow and lots of talks filled with arguments and laughter, Traxx invited Hunee to contribute musically to Nation Records, his label and his creative family, an invitation that always deserves some sikk music – well, Hunee is still workin on it. Since they first met, Hunee developed his own music in the studio and imagination on the decks, which led to some more releases on labels like Rush Hour, W.T. Records and some upcoming material on Future Times. He recently remixed a classic recording from Virgo Four for Rush Hour, which was also backed by a remix from man-of-the-moment Caribou. His remix tries to combine ideas of Prescription, Zanzibar and Neukölln, places that inspire and excite him. For Traxxʼs Birthday Gala, Hunee will prepare a firework of exclusively made edits, deep and raw cuts that play with real instrumentation, machines and the exploration of the human element caught on tape through Tech Trax Inc.
