The show was founded by Henrik Strömberg (www.play.fm/artist/strmberg) and subsequently hosted by himself and, most of the time, also Peter Mellander, a.k.a. DJ pete m.lander (www.play.fm/artist/petemlander).
hq played a significant role in the evolution of Gothenburg's techno scene during the nineties, inspiring many people to entrepreneurial acts such as club- or rave arrangements, dj-ing or music production. hq received an innumerous amount of demo tapes from young techno producers, they also arranged music contests offering live performances as prize and finally also a compilation of qualitative demos was released as "Demonstrations vol.1" on Blackstrobe recordings, also that founded by one of the show menbers (pete m.lander).
All recordings presented here under are ripped tape recordings of the radio show as i took place, i.e approx 1992 - 1998! Show less
