ln the last three years, Hebbo simultaneously developed next to the local electronic movement, bearing on it and being its fundamental rammer. Later he joined Excessive Records to keep the groove intact to complete his crossover mutual next step plan. Within a very short space of time he made his mark, earning a coveted residency at Barclub and for the Love International own affiliated Push parties in KL and beyond.
Soon after, inspired by hedonistic cutting edge clubs both in the KL and Berlin, Hebbo and a group of friends launched Minimalaysia in 2008. Minimalaysia also became known for taking risks with bookings, breaking new, fresh talent in the KL, and internationally on their monthly podcasts something which Hebbo was largely responsible for.
During this period, Hebbo' reputation has soared with him being named "Best EDM DJ" in 2009 by Clubbing9 Top 5 DJs Poll Award. He has played many of the KL's most respected parties and venues from smaller more underground venues such as Cloth & Clef, Palate Palette, Frangipani, Bedroom to larger venues such as Marketplace, Raw Bar, Maison, Zouk and various clubs in KL. Here he played alongside KL stalwarts such as RaySoo, Bryan Burger and Joey G and international guests such as Nic Liu, Tootekool and Emmanuel Ternois to name just a few.
Early 2010 Hebbo was asked to contribute a mix to the hallowed MyNightlife.FM podcast series which received huge praise from the international community once again eschewing the route for a raw, natural and honest approach with other artists previously being Tolga Fidan, Hermanez, Italoboyz, Josh Wink, Jeremy P Caulfield, Mihalis Safras, Pär Grindvik, Riva Starr, Tom Clark, Lützenkirchen, Martin Eyerer, Rainer Weichold, Shlomi Aber and many more. Together, adding to a long list of mixes he’s created regularly like KL’s Turn It Up! on Capital FM88.9 to more international: Eter.nl, Play.fm, Ensonic FM, Green FM, Proton Radio, Electrocaïne and BTE podcast, something which he did for 3 years until very recently.
2011 looks to be another strong year for Hebbo and indeed Minimalaysia. With gigs forthcoming in KL and Singapore to name a few there seems to be no stopping this Malaysian gentleman. Show less
