Baghdad born Hassan Alwan's contribution to and experimentation with electronic music began at the young age of 17, whilst residing in Montreal. He spent 2 years at the legendary Club Stereo learning the ins and outs of running a successful club night. Soon after he setup Bound4Sound, a group dedicated to presenting a sound which they found lacking in the city's nightlife at the time. His early exposure helped secure him gigs and residencies around the city, most notably at Stereobar. After 5 eventful years in Montreal, where he devoted much of his time to throwing parties, entertaining crowds - musically that is - and developing his production abilities, he decided to move to London in search for bigger challenges and more music.
In 2006, along with child-hood friend Hani J, Hassan setup Buy You Sell Me, a net label dedicated to releasing quality electronic music and encouraging participation in charitable causes. To date, the label has featured the work of Hakan Lidbo, Sven Brede, Hek, Brian Ffar, Carlton Banks and Tr1pn1ck. The future looks promising for both Buy You Sell Me & Hassan. The fall schedule for 2007 looks to feature music by Fabrice Lig, Todd Sines, Jeff Milligan and many more, whilst Hassan plans to have his first full release out in early 2008. Show less
