Hashback Hashish is the stage name of Ashish Sachan, an incredibly creative and persistently innovative DJ/ Producer, based in Delhi, India.
He experimented with music regularly, fascinated with the music scene in Perth, quickly getting recognized because of his distinct sound at Rise. Upon his arrival home, he proceeded to get his Masters degree in Business, but lucky for us – he still had his eye on the prize. His inarguably superior taste in music mated with his creative streak - the lovechild of which is Hashback Hashish.
Apart from landing DJ’ing gigs in all the places du jour, including Rise (Perth), blueFROG (MUM), TLR, The Zoo, Zook, Veda’s, Cibo, Three Stories, Capitol, Aquum, Shalom, Roxbury, Shooters (Café Morrison), Taman Gang, splitting the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (Opening) ’11 wide open, collaborating live with Delitronica (One-Year Anniversary) and being ranked India’s 7th best DJ in the Techno Music category by myfavDJ.in (2010) and getting over 300,000 YouTube views (for now), he’s been producing the best minimal and techno you could lay your hands on. In each one of HH’s projects, be it the tightly-themed and executed Daft Punk & LCD Soundsystem Tributes or the free-flowing Electronica Revival Mission, his constant drive to create something unique shows clearly through. Similarly, his independently released singles like Infinity (original), Connextion (original), Peep Shower (remix), etc. display his superior understanding of future sounds, garnering him accolades such as being compared to Paul Kalkbrenner in a recent review by Line Up Radio (France).
