Since the age of 12 Scott has held a an intense fetish for electronic dance music. Being trained in classical piano since the age of 6, he first came in contact with electronic music at band camp in the 6th grade, when his counselor introduced him to The Chemical Brothers' album, “Dig Your Own Hole.” From this point on, electronic music production has been a fixation that has remained on the top of his priority list of endeavors.
It was at the age of 14 his parents gave him his first MIDI controller and some sequencing software – and thus began his journey into producing electronic music. Greatly inspired by the sounds of old-school big beat and breaks, including the likes of Fluke, The Prodigy, and Rabbit In The Moon, Scott is constantly attempting to fuse the sounds of the old with that of the new, while trying to achieve a delicate balance between producing music that's meant to make people move, with that which inflicts various emotions and imagery.
Fast forward to the age of 22: Scott is currently a senior in the electrical engineering department at Rice University, where he lives two separates lives – a student and researcher by day, and a producer and DJ by night. He currently manages and hosts a stateside-renowned DJ-mixed electronic show, called “MK Ultra,” on KTRU Houston, where he's been lucky enough to interview and work with the likes of Hybrid, Junkie XL, and Infusion to name just a few. His music has also taken him to the opposite end of the globe, Beijing, where he has managed to successfully break into the city's electronic music scene after having done research there with Nokia. He currently holds a bi-annual residency at one of the most city's most venerable clubs, Tango. Show less
