The Italian ravers Franz & Shape are Francesco Spazzoli and Chris Shape releasing on Headman's label Relish Recordings. Their live performance is characterised by a unique slamming electro touch with synths and samplers: the crowded dancefloor is their habitat! That's why in 2005 their first track, "Countach" was included in the lucky “Italian EP”, published by Relish and this is why it is also featured in some exciting CD mixes, such as 2 Many Dj's` "50,000,000 Soulwax Fans Can't Be Wrong", "Misch Masch" by Freeform Five, “Drop The Dj Mix” by Mylo and Mixmag 2006 mixed by Soulwax. A few months on and the “Destination/Location EP” and the “Maximum Joy” maxi single were both released, again on Relish. Their first album “Acceleration” came out in February 2007 with special collaborations: David Carretta (Gigolo / Space Factory), Chelonis R. Jones (Get Physical), Mount Sims (Gigolo), Dirk Da Davo (The Neon Judgement), Ian Clark (Perspects), GD Luxxe and Tomas Barfod a.k.a. Tomboy (Who Made Who). After their Franz & Shape “Remixed” of Summer 2007 (remixed by BackYard`s wonderkid Tronik Youth, the 2 hot Aussies Riot In Belgium and new electro superstar Kissy Sell Out) the brand new single “Eyes Like Knives” / “Forgotten Days” is out now feat. the American band Kill Memory Crash with remixes by Turbo`s nu-rave genius D.I.M, Motor and Memory Boy a.k.a. John Selway. It`s another shot beyond the dark of our Italian maestros and a new and epic chapter of a musical journey they just started to write for our listening pleasure. Show less
