Frank, together with Enrico `Volcov` Crivellaro, founded two of the most interesting Italian electronic labels to date: Sonica (first Italian D`n`B label active from 1998 until 2000, it released material by Digital, Matrix, Sonar Circle, Paradox, AlphaOmega, Q Project and Volcov) and Archive, still one of the most exciting and innovative labels around, now run by Volcov on his own.
In 2001 Frank joined Irma Records and created the Head To Toe imprint dedicated to Broken Beats. So far the label has released thirteen 12” singles, including international artists like Catalyst (Alex Attias), Opaque (Seiji), NubianMindz, G-Force, Kabuki, Atjazz, Total Science, Hidden Agenda, Sci-Clone, Sonar Circle, Alex Phountzi, Waiwan, Riton, Stockholm Cyclo, Tweak, Tantan (aka Ernesto`s), Cuica, Yukihiro Fukutomi, Maddslinky and more...
Due for release on Head To Toe the first compilation titled `Footprints`, including eight of the best releases on the label so far and four new exclusive tracks..
For Irma (on the Cuadra imprint) Frank S has also selected some Drum`n`Bass compilations: Jungle Jazz 5 (fifth volume of the well known series born in 2002) and Sambass (a new concept dedicated to Brazilian Drum`n`Bass) released in 2003 and one of the most successful Irma releases of that year. Sambass 2 is released in June 04 and follows the footsteps of the first volume. Show less
