El Segundo has been resident at legendary Meierei and playing in most clubs of Vienna. Due to a deep and jazz based musical education, his repertoire has no boundaries at all. During the years he had the pleasure to perform with and support some of those musicians that had great influence on him, such as George Clinton, Bobby Bird, Deodato or Groove Collective. So, his style has ripen to a gorgeous blend of various genres with the common denominator - soul.
El Segundo started to spin the turntables on fashion shows in 1988. Together with a couple of friends he founded Sunshine Enterprises in 1994. Nowadays he runs the Sunshine publishing-house and is one of the forces behind the Sequence Network Festival. In 2002 together with Heinz Tronigger he founded “hmZ...”, an unbelievable 13-piece-orchestra being famous for scintillating live spectacles that mix up electronic generated beats, driving percussions, phat base-lines, sensitive keys, funky guitars, opulent horns and soulful vocals with a couple of dancers and actors.
In collaboration with D-Muse he performs as “Les Cousins”, well known for creating a hipshakin´ and sexy, overbrimming, disco concentrated atmosphere that makes the girls scream.
Since 2003 El Segundo holds a residency at Club Passage. His DJ-sets amalgamate both - unrestrained, high spirit floors and high-end musical demands. Show less
