Daniel is a passionate DJ since 1989. Has been spinning all over the place: From the Danish pavillon at the Venice art biennale 1999 to the release party of Kruder Dorfmeisters G-Stone book in Vienna in 2000, the opening of the Berlinale film festival in 2004 . Daniel loves to travel Europe and the world with his record case, giving pleasure to people with an elegant mix of hip hop and funk, dub disco grooves and soulful techno. Besides playing at big culture and art events all across Germany, Haaksman has regular club residencies at "103" in Berlin. Daniel produced remixes for Tosca, Shantel, Rodney Hunter, Nickodemus, $olal, OMFO, Lightning Head, Boban Markovic Orkestar and Munk. He´s compiler of the compilations "Dub Infusions 1989-1999" and "More Dub Infusions" for Best Seven / Sonar Kollektiv, as well as the compilation "Rio Baile Funk: Favela Booty Beats" for Essay Recordings. He executively produced the album „Tapes“ by poet Maxim Biller and the compilations „Não Wave Wave“ and „Yoga Sessions“ (both Man Recordings) Besides DJing, Daniel is working as a longtime contributor for "Groove" magazine as well as various other German magazines and newspapers („Tagesspiegel“, Spex, Style & The Family Tunes, etc.). He wrote three Berlin travel guides (published by Mo´Media). In autumn 2004 he started his own label Man Recordings.
