Marin Chobanov (a.k.a. Caccao) was born in Panagiurishte, Bulgaria in 1986. He lives and studies in Panagiurishte for more than 16 years. In 2007 he moves to Stara Zagora (Bulgaria) to continue his education in medicine, receiving his degree in 2010. While he was a student, he receives the opportunity to be the host of a radio show, which inspires him to continue his venture into radio broadcasting, including becoming the host of the radio show “ALO SLUSHATELI” (“Hey Listeners”).
Even as a child, he was captivated by the sound of electronic music. Over the years he explores the different styles of electronic music, progressive, techno, minimal and in each one, he finds something special and personal to him. Although Marin found his calling in the sound of minimal techno he continues to receive inspiration from the other styles of electronic music.
The sound of minimal techno is prevalent in both in his mixes and produced tracks. However, he often experiments with some of the progressive elements, which is somewhat unusual in electronic music. It is this uniqueness that Marin brings to the sound of minimal techno that leaves his fans pleasantly surprised and intrigued.
During 2011, Marin sets in motion his own radio show, which airs on one of the most listened to radio stations in Bulgaria, VIBES RADIO STRATION. His show, GLOBAL MINIMAL EMOTION, instantly captivates the listeners of VIBES RADIO STATION, which brought an understandable personal satisfaction for Marin. GLOBAL MINIMAL EMOTION airs the second Friday of every month from 18:00 to 20:00. In his two hour show Marin brings the best and most current minimal techno to his listeners. The tracks Marin selects for his show create a very unique vibe and sound. Most of his fans describe him as a very vibrant and colorful person resting on the music that he shares with his listeners, which is what attracts Marin’s listeners to him, his music and his show.
