Pribu Bogdan Alexandru started to play music under the name Dj Butoane name inspired from his fatal attraction for the musical buttons causing irresistible love for the ear. He was born with musical passion, his mom playing music to him even before he stepped foot on earth. In his childhood he has travelled through different styles of music like blues, jazz, ambient jazz a bit of hip-hop after which he got into the funky jazz and trip hop styles like Jamiroquai who had a massive impact on his musical perception along with Tricky, Leftfield, BT, Asian Dub Fundation. This brought Butoane closer to electronic music. Electronic music came in 2004. On 11th of november 2005 he attempted his first electronic music party in Bucharest the Dj being Tiesto. Worn by the wave he travelled with trance, prog-trance, tech-trance and deep-progrressive by his side. At that point his attention was focused on Deepdish, Rob Dougan, James Lauer, James Lavelle, Steve Lawler, Paul Oakenfold,Man with No Name, Hernan Cattaneo, Seb Fontaine, Nick Warren, Danny Howells, John Digweed, Lee Burridge, Luke Fair, Sasha and also Dj's from Romania like Rhadoo, Pagal or Rosario. In 2007 he started to seriously mix the grooves and being doing it ever since. He played at a couple of parties, most of them organized by friends. In his sets inspiration started to come from artists he listened to in the past and newcommers like Cid Inc, Jim Rivers, Kasey Taylor, Martin Landsky, Guy J, Inkfish when it comes to club music but also experimentalists as Moby, Groove Armada, Mylo, Robert Babicz, New Order or Crystal Method. In all this time his style suffered some changes influenced of course also by the evolution of the electronic music. His style was notably emphasized by progressive house and gave birth to what he calls a progressive tech blended with hypnotic techno and dub or vocal influences here and there. I love and respect music and that's why I am always happy to play anything that catches my ear considering it as a challenge everytime and giving it my best. He featured twice at Frisky Radio, first as a Guest Mix and second within the pale of the Frisky Loves Romania organized show. For two years he also had his show at a Romanian Radio intitled Illegal Grooves. Today he is mixing for radios like Insomnia FM and Tunnel FM. You can catch him every 3rd Monday of the Month from 18 CET at Insomnia FM with the legacy of "Illegal Grooves" and every 2nd & 4th Monday of the Month from 19 CET at Tunnel FM with his new show intitled "Sesiones Ilegales" (repetition 2nd & 4th Thursday's of the Month from 19 CET) Health, Love, Music & Peace !
