His passion with electronic dance music started
when he first heard Dj`s like Robert Hood, Hell and
Jeff Mills play at the legendary early Cave Club in Salzburg,
Austria around 1993. He began djing one year later after a visit
to the U.S., where he bought his very first records and turntables.
Barspin moved to vienna the same year to study graphic design
& advertising at the university of applied arts. Since 98`, he
is a member of the 33.45 records dj-team and has played at various
parties, clubs and festivals in austria and abroad.
Roots/influences:
Punk, Industrial, Hardcore, African Percussion, Hip Hop,
neue deutsche Welle, Detroit & Minimal Techno.
Styles:
Barspin strictly aims to apply massive pump & pressure spiked with
whatever makes a dancefloor go off - ranging from house to electro-tech across timeless retro influences to the sexy essence of techno.
Occasionaly more minimal and experimental.
That all gathers the sophisticated goal simply called music.
