Alex Flatner has been pushing the limits for years working hard at his spinning and producing skills. He is aiming at functional, clubby music. Besides releasing on his own label “Circle Music” Alex` productions can be found on leading labels like “Black Nation”, “Gekko” London, “Silver Planet” London and Gayle San`s label “Equator UK”. He gained international success by remixing “Pounds & Penz” which became the most played track ever in Pete Tong`s radio program at BBC Radio One. The track also appeared on the Mix Mag Compilation mixed by Timo Maas in April 2000, on the Ministry of Sound Compilation "Tunes of the Year" and the MTV Compilation which was also licensed to Convert Rec (UK), Warner Germany and by News in Belgium.
After hitting the dancecharts with the AWeX Remix "It's Our Future"(DDC-Charts No.1) Alex released another remix for Tom Wax "... and then it hit me” on Tom Wax`s label “Phuture Wax” in march 2002. New Order frontman Bernard Sumner asked Alex for a remix of their latest single „Crystal“ which came out on London-Records. 2004 Alex launched his own label imprint Circle Music and took over Monoid Recordings, which can look back on releases from artists such as Samuel L. Session, Leandro Gamez, Oxia or Bryan Zentz. “Circle Music” is dealing with melodic tech-housy grooves. That`s the sound Alex is spreading all over the globe at weekends and he`s recognizable enjoying his gigs. Show less
