The center of attention on PLAY.FM is its innovative, interactive flash player not only visualizing the DJ mix in a wave form but also allowing the community to ask and identify unknown tracks, skip within the recordings, choose and edit playlists. All artist, label, crew, booking, club and festival sites on PLAY.FM are edited by the community in wiki-style. Via embeddable widgets and social network applications all content and every recording can be shared across the worldwideweb. DJs use it to embed their mixes on their myspace site, festivals add the recordings to their website and the users share their favourite content on facebook.

With the Meta-Shop PLAY.FM offers a unique service: it searches more than 10 million database entries from up to now seven shop partners and compares formats, e.g. mp3, vinyl, wav, CD and prices. Until the end of 2010 more than 10 shops will be implemented in this massive music search engine.
